Mark Needham
Owner / Manager
I have been around animals all my life and spent over 30 years of my life working with animals and teaching animal care. I currently run the cattery, the family farm and livery business. I live and work with animals 24 hours a day.
I initially started working with animals after leaving school and studied a degree in Equine science and business management. I have trained riders and horses and have worked in the training, racing and breeding industry. I also used my skills and moved into a teaching role both teaching and writing programmes for general animal care to BTEC National Diploma level at Park Lane College in Leeds city centre. A change of direction saw me joining law enforcement whilst still running the family farm and livery yard. 20 years later and we have decided to make the move to work full time on the farm which has allowed me to diversify the farm.
Being cat owners we decided to include a cattery which is something we have wanted to do for many years and after years of helping fellow cattery owners at their premises.
As well as years of experience of working with cats, dogs and horses I am qualified to Ofqual level 3 in Care of Felines in Catteries and Feline Care & Behaviour.
Louise Needham
Owner
Louise has grown up on the farm with horses and pets and has had cats all her life. She is fully trained in the day to day management of the cattery.
Isla Needham
Entertainer and Chief Cuddler
Isla is a natural around all animals and is proving a hit with both cats and owners alike. She spends hours cuddling and playing with your cat giving them that extra piece of attention. She is already showing guests to their rooms and remembers all her previous guests.
